Exciting News!

Bethel Recreation has just been approved for special grant funding that allows us to offer full (100%) scholarships - but there are a few important details to know!

These scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis for qualifying families and will apply to our upcoming summer camps, new programs, and fall sports:

 Flag Football
 Girls Volleyball
 Girls Cheerleading

A few key things to keep in mind:

• Each child will need a separate application.

• Once all 100% scholarship funds have been exhausted, we will return to our standard scholarship policy (see below Standard Bethel Rec Program Scholarship Guidelines).

• For the rest of the school year, only 50% scholarships will be available to approved families.

• Families who have already been approved through this application do not need to reapply for future programs during the current school year.

• Once the grant funds are gone, new applicants will need to complete the regular Bethel Rec. Scholarship Request Form to be considered for the 50% scholarship.

Standard Bethel Rec Program Scholarship Guidelines:  (does not include camps, clinics or special events).

Requests must be made by the account holder and head of the family. Completed Scholarship Application MUST be submitted online at the link below no later than seven (7) days PRIOR to the closing of registration for the current program. PLEASE scan/upload your proof of income to bethelrecinfo@bethelrec.org.

*Scholarship applications will not be processed without proof of income.

The applicant must qualify according to the Bethel Recreation Family Income Guidelines listed below.

 1. Verification of income is required prior to processing this application. Acceptable income documentation includes copy of 1040A, proof of current income taxes. EXCEPTION:  If you
    do not file taxes due to being homeless, you are required to provide proof of being homeless through the Bethel School District Family Center.

 2. The undersigned is the head of household requesting assistance with registration funds.

 3. If you are living with someone whom is providing your family financial support and/or resources in the form of rent, food, utilities, etc. they are considered the Head of Household 
     and you are required to provide their tax information.  

4.  Applicants must attend or live in the Bethel School District boundaries to be considered for the scholarship. 

5.  Approved scholarships will receive 50% off of the registration fee per program/per child for the entire school year. Applicants must re-submit a new application each school year  
     with current income documentation.

6. You will need to contact us directly to receive a NEW coupon code for each new sports program/season for each child.

7. Requests for coupon codes may be done by email and must be requested no later than (7) days prior to the closing of registration for each sports program.

8.  Scholarship funds will only be used for Bethel Recreation Association program(s) (does not include camps, clinics or special events).
